Experience the healing, soothing, and insect repellent properties of lavender plants. Used throughout history, its versatile oil was a beloved ingredient in herbal remedies and baths, and even used in World War I treatment methods. This powerful herb has many household uses, including perfume, culinary, and aromatherapy. This variant is a cold-tolerant, highly fragrant hybrid of English and Portuguese lavender known for its large purple flower spikes and high essential oil production.

Sustainability

Sustainability

In 2023 we opened our new state-of-the-art plant nursery. We call it: Growing Point, and it’s a demonstrator of regenerative sustainability and circular systems in both its construction and operation.

Built from light, recyclable materials, it harvests rainwater from the sky and heat from the earth. Growing Point will enable us to produce all the plants for our Biomes and Gardens, retail outlets and for local supply, as well as food for the thousands of visitors that the Eden Project welcomes every year.
