Discover Chocolarder’s Takahashi 70% chocolate bar, a special limited-edition 2026 bar made with exceptional cocoa beans from Tomé-Açu in Pará, Brazil. Grown by cacao producer Jorge Takahashi within a biodiverse agroforestry system, the cocoa combines Forastero and Trinitario varieties, carefully hand harvested, fermented for seven days in wooden boxes and slowly sun dried to develop its distinctive complexity.
What makes this chocolate particularly special is its journey. The cocoa beans were sail-shipped across the Atlantic to France before travelling to the UK, offering a slower, lower-impact alternative to conventional freight. Chocolarder has been working with sail-shipped cocoa since 2015 and continues to explore more thoughtful ways of sourcing and transporting its beans.
The 70% dark chocolate is presented in beautiful packaging created in collaboration with renowned local illustrator David Doran, celebrating the growers, the journey across the sea and the chocolatiers who craft the bar in Falmouth. A truly distinctive chocolate bar with a strong connection to its origin, makers and journey.
