Calendula has been used for its healing properties for the last 1000 years. Calendula is commonly known as pot marigold, garden marigold , or sometimes just plain marigold. There are two types of marigolds. One is medicinal, and the other is not. The two plants are entirely different and unrelated. One is Tagetes erecta, and the other is calendula officinalis.

Calendula refers to the calendar, as the plant blooms every month of the year. The second word, officinalis, refers to the workshop of an alchemist, a place where lead was said to be converted into gold. The ancients felt that calendula could perform an equally amazing transformation on the skin, hence the name.

    Seems to be working

We picked this us while visiting the Eden project . My husband suffers with really bad eczema. It seems to be working well. His skin becomes less inflamed. It’s also worked on my children’s irritated skin too. I will definitely be ordering more. I think we may have found something brilliant.

Great cream that made a real difference.

I ordered it for my mother in law who was having a lot of trouble with irritated skin and other creams were not helping. I picked up this while visiting Eden Project and had to order more as it really worked for her.
