By adding it to your compost or directly into the planting hole in the soil, you are introducing the long-term benefits of biochar, as well as giving the compost or soil a boost of the biology that helps ensure strong and productive plants.

What is biochar?

The earliest known use of biochar was by the Amazonians over 2,000 years ago. Biochar is a high-carbon form of charcoal that is produced by heating organic matter at extremely high temperatures and in the absence of oxygen, a process called "pyrolysis".

By using Carbon Gold biochar, you can bring a physical and permanent change to your soil. It improves structure, aeration, water-holding capacity, and nutrient retention, and provides a refuge for beneficial microbes, which we add to improve plant health.

It also locks away carbon permanently underground so it is beneficial for the environment as well as plants, veg and edibles!

In short, using Carbon Gold biochar is good for your garden and good for our planet!

      Biochar.

I have read only good things about this product my expectations are high.

I have use a little mixed with compost and bone meal, to pot some shrubs from my garden that need moving while some work is being carried out.

Hoping that with care they will survive.
