Tin Seed Edition, Peter Randall-Page
Edition of 30
Tin Seed (2024)
In 2003, Peter Randall-Page was commissioned to create Seed from a
167 tonne piece of Cornish granite. Twenty years later he has produced a
limited edition of this iconic work, cast from sea-foraged Cornish tin.
‘Seed has been a very, very important piece in my career’
says Peter, and it is an artwork that has been enjoyed by millions. It is an
optimistic piece of work that celebrates the importance of our relationship
with the natural world.
Unlike the original which was carved, Tin Seed has
been slip-moulded and cast as a limited edition of 30 from tin gleaned from
Trevellas Porth. It is a celebration of Peter’s legacy in sculpture and his
long-standing collaboration with Eden Project.
