Thatchers Zero is a medium-dry, crisp, low/no cider. It’s crafted using a selection of cider apples including Dabinett and Somerset Redstreak to provide full body, and modern varieties such as Three Counties and Hastings that deliver smoothness.

When the Thatcher family name is on the bottle, it makes a promise: that what’s inside has been carefully crafted to the highest standard. Thatchers Zero offers a unique twist on a classic apple cider – ideal for laid-back, sociable occasions, when something low/no is wanted without compromising on taste.

About the brand
Thatchers

Thatchers Cider has been crafted at Myrtle Farm since 1904, with four generations dedicating themselves to perfecting their craft and a fifth generation ready to continue the tradition. While much has changed over the years, one thing has remained the same — cider making is, and always has been, at the heart of everything they do. Their passion, knowledge and commitment have shaped every bottle for more than a century.

Set among the rolling hills of Somerset, Myrtle Farm has been home to Thatchers for generations. Spread across five hundred acres of rich apple-growing land, it’s a place rooted in family values and care for the environment around them. From welcoming visitors from near and far to nurturing the local wildlife — including their much-loved bees — every part of life at Myrtle Farm reflects the pride they take in their home and their cider.

Sustainability

Sustainability

For over 120 years, the family behind Thatchers has lived and worked at Myrtle Farm, building a deep connection to the land and an understanding of the importance of caring for it. As farmers, they are closely connected to the soil and the environment around them, which is why sustainability remains central to everything they do — not just for today, but for future generations.

Building a sustainable business for future generations

Myrtle Farm, set in the heart of the Somerset countryside, has long been their home and the foundation of their cider-making heritage. Their vision is to continue building a world-renowned cider business that works in harmony with the natural world, ensuring the land and environment are protected for years to come.

Reducing their carbon footprint

They are continually exploring innovative ways to reduce their use of natural resources while increasing their reliance on renewable energy, helping to lower their environmental impact and create a more sustainable future.

Protecting biodiversity

Their orchards are more than a source of apples — they provide an important habitat for local wildlife and play a vital role in supporting the surrounding ecosystem. Insects, birds of prey, bats, pheasants, rabbits and hares all thrive alongside their orchards.

Supporting their local community

Based in the village of Sandford, Somerset, they remain deeply connected to the local community. Playing an active role in village life is an important part of who they are, and they continue to contribute to and care for the place they proudly call home.
