About the brand
Lucy Bee

Lucy Bee are a small, UK-based, privately-owned family business and it was named Lucy Bee because owner Lucy was diagnosed coeliac at 18 months old, which meant her parents had to completely change the way they ate. They had to constantly check labels and cooking from scratch became the norm in their house. This naturally made them interested in their health and wellbeing from the inside out.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Ethics and sustainability are at the forefront of what they do.

This is reflected in their support of fair trade, donations to charities, products which are certified organic, vegan and cruelty free, their choice of environmentally friendly packaging, as well as reducing their carbon footprint.

Palm oil free

Lucy Bee strive to show the negative effects that using palm oil is having on the world by blurring the boundaries between products people want and making sure they are created to not only be effective and affordable, but by also putting
the environment first. It's not always easy but it IS possible to create effective products which are palm oil free.

Fair trade

The beauty of working with the FairTSA is that those farmers and workers involved in producing the products directly benefit from the contributions, which help to improve lives through such things as school meals and scholarships, clean and safe drinking water, and lending programmes.

Supporting charities

Each year Lucy Bee work closely with a chosen charity and their donations are made in various ways. They make a payment for every box of their bath salts that they sell, and they offset their carbon footprint by donating the equivalent amount to the charity. They also donate food products and soap bars to charities including in the UK, Malawi and the Philippines. None of this would be possible without the amazing support of their customers.

Vegan

With this certification you can be assured that that the manufacture and/or development of the product, and where applicable its ingredients, do not involve, or have involved, the use of any animal product,
by-product or derivative.

Soil Association organic cosmos

This certification gives you the assurance that you’re purchasing a product which is made from sustainably-sourced, organic ingredients, with a
transparent manufacturing process, biodegradable ingredients and uses minimal packaging. It also ensures no animal testing, no GM, no controversial
chemicals, no parabens and phthalates, no synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances and no nano particles.

Cruelty free

This certification on a product guarantees that not only is the finished product not tested on animals but nor are the ingredients used to formulate the product. This is a global programme which requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

Packaging

Lucy Bee make every effort to minimise their packaging and to use only the most sustainable materials available to us, reducing our use of
plastic where possible.

Carbon offset

In the world of online shopping and demand for products from around the globe, it’s unfortunately impossible to avoid carbon emissions. They
want their offsets to be used productively, efficiently and effectively and so they donate the equivalent carbon offset to their chosen charity.
